Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms apply to your use of the Day Six Studio website. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the website. Questions can be sent to hello@daysix.studio.
Using this website
You may browse the website, read the Journal and contact us about our work, services or potential partnerships. Use the site lawfully and in a way that respects other people’s rights. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, impersonate someone else, or submit unlawful or misleading material.
Our work and intellectual property
Website content, including design, text, illustrations, animation, graphics and code, is protected by intellectual property laws. Rights belong to Day Six or the relevant clients, authors, licensors and other rights holders. Client names, marks and project materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
You may view the site and share links to it. Other reproduction, redistribution or commercial use requires permission from the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law. Nothing on this website transfers ownership of intellectual property or grants a licence to use a client’s brand or project assets.
Inquiries and founder applications
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for having permission to share it. You retain ownership of your materials. By submitting them, you allow us to review and use them for evaluating and communicating about your inquiry or proposed opportunity, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Sending an inquiry or application does not create a client, investment, employment, fiduciary or other professional relationship, and does not oblige Day Six to respond, invest or provide services. Please do not send trade secrets or information requiring a specific confidentiality agreement until that agreement is in place. Our handling of personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Services and investment relationships
Descriptions of our services and investment approaches are general information. They are not an offer to sell securities, a solicitation to invest, a promise of funding, or financial, legal or tax advice. Any service engagement, equity arrangement or investment requires separate review and a written agreement between the relevant parties.
A separate agreement governs fees, deliverables, ownership, confidentiality and other terms of an engagement. If that agreement conflicts with these website terms in relation to the engagement, the separate agreement controls.
Journal and portfolio information
The Journal expresses perspectives and general information that may change over time. Portfolio examples describe selected work and do not guarantee any result for another project. We aim to keep the website accurate, but content may be incomplete, outdated or contain errors. You should independently assess information before relying on it for a material decision.
External services and links
The site may link to Tally, client websites and other third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. A link does not mean Day Six controls or endorses every aspect of the destination. We are not responsible for the availability or operation of external services.
Availability and responsibility
We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the site. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided as available, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Day Six is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms excludes a liability or limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not override mandatory consumer protections.
Applicable law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you elsewhere. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
We may revise these terms when the site or our practices change. Revisions apply from the date posted and do not retroactively change a separate written agreement. The date above identifies the latest revision. Contact hello@daysix.studio if you have a question or concern.
