Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains how Day Six Studio handles personal information in connection with this website, inquiries and founder applications. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@daysix.studio.
Information you share
When you email us, we receive the contact details, correspondence and materials you choose to send. Founder applications may include your name, professional links, company information, industry experience, customer or distribution information, and an optional pitch deck. Please share only information relevant to the conversation and that you are entitled to provide.
Our founder application opens on Tally, a separate form service. Information submitted there is handled through Tally on behalf of the form owner. You can review Tally’s privacy information before submitting. Do not include sensitive personal information about yourself or others unless it is necessary and we have agreed how to receive it.
Website and device information
The services that host and deliver this website may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages and access times to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose errors. Where the hosting platform requires sign-in, that platform manages authentication under its own privacy terms.
The site may store essential preferences, including cookie choices, in your browser. No advertising or optional audience analytics service is currently configured by Day Six in this website. External services you choose to visit, including Tally, have their own cookie and privacy practices.
The newsletter widget is not currently connected to a mailing list. Entering an address in that widget does not currently create a subscription. If newsletter signup is enabled later, we will explain its use at signup and provide a way to unsubscribe.
Why we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, assess potential projects and partnerships, review founder applications, communicate about those opportunities, operate and protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations. We seek consent where required and do not treat an inquiry or founder application as consent to unrelated marketing.
Service providers and disclosure
Information may be handled by providers that support our website, email, communications and application forms, where needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish or protect legal rights and address fraud or security issues.
We do not offer website inquiry or founder application information for sale. If a proposed partnership requires sharing identifiable application materials with an outside investor or partner, we will seek permission where required before doing so.
Processing outside your location
Our service providers may process information outside your province or country. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those locations. Tally describes its data processing, hosting and subprocessors in its own privacy documentation.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including ongoing discussions, legitimate business records and legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, it should be deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, email or storage service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe information shared with Day Six has been exposed or misused.
Your choices and requests
You may ask about our handling of your personal information, request access or correction, and withdraw consent where applicable. You may also request deletion; legal obligations and other permitted reasons for retention may limit what can be deleted. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will explain any applicable limitation.
Send requests or concerns to hello@daysix.studio with “Privacy” in the subject line. You can also contact the privacy regulator responsible for your location. In British Columbia, this is the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.
External sites and updates
This policy applies to Day Six’s handling of information described here. It does not replace the privacy policies of external services or client websites linked from our portfolio. We may update this policy as our practices or the website change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
